How To Measure for DIY Supply Only Shutters
You will need:
A pencil or pen
Paper
Tape Measure
Decide if you want your shutter fitting inside the recess or on the outside. Give each of your windows a name and get writing down the details as described below: -
Decide where the shutter will sit, you will need to leave clearance to allow for the louvres to be fully opened without hitting any handles. If your windows open inwards you will need to contact us for a design visit or for further advice.
Measure the width of the window in 3 places, at the top, the middle and the bottom. You want the smallest measurement of the 3. Make a note of it as your width measurement.
Measure the height of the recess in 3 places, on the left hand side, the right hand side and the centre. Again take the smallest measurement and make a note of it for the window height.
If you are having a mid rail measure from the bottom of where you're shutter will sit on the sill to the middle of where the mid rail will go. This is not always 100% accurate as we need to adjust this to fit the louvre sizes but it will be manufactured to as close as we possibly can.
Measure to any window dividers, measuring from the edge of the shutter to the middle of the divider panels, and mark on your sheet. You know know How To Measure for DIY Supply Only Shutters..
